Pros

Orbit is super easy to use. It allows me to easily find all the client info I need in one spot, which makes my life a lot easier.

Cons

Sometimes, it takes a while for the data to load, which can slow things down and mess with my workflow.

The best in class

Pros

Orbit has completely changed the game for community experience management. They've set the standard and turned it into highly practical and user-friendly software. Also it has been proven a huge help for us in understanding who's joining or leaving our community. The disambiguation system is another feature that stands out as it's made things so much clearer. Overall, it is helped us get a much better grip on our community and has been key in supporting healthy and steady growth.

Cons

The integrations are definitely getting easier. If I'd written this review a couple of months ago, I would have asked for a better LinkedIn integration, but now thats checked off my list. I'm looking forward to seeing better visualization tools and other integrations in the future.

Ideal for measuring community size

Pros

The data ingestion setup of it is simply the best. And it makes it so much easier for me to pull everything together in one place.

Cons

Well one thing I have noticed is that there is not much else I can really do with the data. I really wish there was a way to process it further or work with it more.

Perfect for managing communities across different platforms

Pros

Orbit makes it simple to spot my most engaged community members across all channels and allows me to quickly find new ways to build deeper connections. We mainly use Slack and GitHub for engagement, and I love that I can track a members activity across both platforms in one place. We're using the free version, but we are definitely planning to upgrade as our team expands and our needs get more complex.

Cons

It does a really good job of giving me insights into our community, which I really appreciate. But I feel like the tool itself is a bit limited when it comes to taking action on those insights. For example, I can easily see which community members are drifting away, but I cannot do anything about it directly in this software. Instead, I have to keep switching between Orbit and Slack just to figure out who to reach out to and try to reengage them. It would be so much better if I could handle everything in one place.

Changed the way I work

Pros

I really love the innovative approach Orbit has taken for building communities, as it is such a fresh move away from the traditional linear funnels to their exponential orbit model. Also it's really impressive, and I have got to give credit to the team for coming up with this.

Cons

I really wish there was some slideware I could use to share the Orbit model with my team.

Handles all our community needs

Pros

The APIs are amazing. Also I love that Orbit lets me interact with the system directly through APIs. Plus, their free tier is quite generous, so you can really get a feel for the product before committing. The new ClearBit integration is hands down one of my favorite features. With just one click, I can see exactly who your users are and save that info in Orbit.

Cons

More data connectors would be awesome. I know they're on the roadmap, which is great. And I also wish for more flexibility in the dashboard features as that would be a nice addition.

The best for tracking growth

Pros

For me, the stats are hands down the most important part of the tool. They make it so much easier to track how everything is progressing and help me figure out whats working and whats not. In short it's been highly useful for tweaking and improving our initiatives based on those insights.

Cons

I really wish I could monitor specific channels on Discord that are only accessible to certain members. Also it would be really helpful to track those more closely. Another thing that bugs me is how every single message on Discord gets counted as activity, even when someone sends a bunch of tiny messages back to back. It would be so much better if there was a timing feature where messages sent within a few minutes were grouped together as one activity. That would make the tracking way more accurate.

Provides insights we rely on

Pros

The GitHub and Discord integration is simply the best. It works flawlessly and allows me to manage everything in a much better way.

Cons

Well, I think it would be awesome if there were integrations between Groups.io and Confluence. Also, not being able to tag companies is a big drawback for me.

Its a great product

Pros

Orbit is perfect for understanding your community across different channels like GitHub, Twitter and chat. It gathers all the engagement from these platforms and displays everything in a clean, easy to read UI. One of the coolest features is how Orbit generates smart metrics like Reach and Love for each community member. It really helps me understand who my members are and how engaged they are.

Cons

Honestly, there is nothing I dislike about it. They have done an amazing job creating a great product!

Proven to be a valuable tool

Pros

I love the design as it is very clean and easy to use. Honestly, Orbit has totally changed how I feel about engagement data in my community. I used to find it overwhelming, but now I'm not afraid of it anymore.

Cons

I'm still figuring things out and it is a bit hard to find a free slot for a demo meeting. Thats the main reason I have not decided to go for the paid option yet.
